Pixar Unveils Trailer for Dream Productions, a Fun Spin-Off Series from Inside Out

Pixar has just dropped the highly anticipated trailer for Dream Productions, a new mockumentary-style series that takes fans back into the imaginative world of Riley’s mind. Set between the events of Inside Out 1 and Inside Out 2, the series gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the whimsical "dream factory" where dreams are created each night. This fresh take on the Inside Out concept promises a mix of humor, heart, and the unique charm Pixar is known for.

 

The series focuses on Riley (voiced by Kensington Tallman), who is growing up and dealing with the challenges of memory processing. To help with this, Joy and the rest of Riley's Emotions send her memories to Dream Productions, where they are transformed into nightly dreams. However, things get complicated when the acclaimed director Paula Persimmon (voiced by Paula Pell) is paired with Xeni (Richard Ayoade), a smug daydream director eager to break into the big leagues of night dreams. Together, they face a hilarious and chaotic journey to create the perfect dream.

 

Dream Productions features an all-star voice cast, including Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Ally Maki, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black, and Phyllis Smith, all reprising their roles from Inside Out. With new voices like Paula Pell and Richard Ayoade adding their comedic flair, the series promises to be a treat for fans of both the original film and fresh, fun content.

 

Created, written, and directed by Mike Jones, Dream Productions is set to stream starting December 11th, 2024. With its unique mockumentary format and beloved characters, the series is sure to be a hit for audiences of all ages, blending the humor of Inside Out with a whole new dreamscape of possibilities.
