Dude, If You Want To Be Cool, Please Vote Says Anupam Kher, Encourages First Time Voters

Veteran actor Anupam Kher was seen casting his vote during the Maharashtra Assembly elections, and took the opportunity to interact with the media, encouraging citizens to actively participate in the democratic process. In his message, he stressed the importance of voter turnout, urging everyone to step out and vote. “First and foremost, everyone who is sitting at their homes, they should step out and cast their vote in maximum numbers, so that we later don’t blame others for not getting what we wanted. If you don’t vote, you cannot complain. Come out and vote, and celebrate the festival of freedom and democracy,” he said.

 

Kher also praised the election commission's efforts in organizing the polling process. “The arrangements are outstanding. It’s a very well-organized election that is happening. With each passing year, the arrangements are getting better and more disciplined, and a lot of responsible people are conducting the polling,” he added. His words were a testament to the efforts being made to ensure smooth and fair elections.

 

Reflecting on his own first-time voting experience, Kher recalled the sense of pride he felt when he cast his ballot for the first time. “When I was a first-time voter, I thought I had grown up now that I can vote, I am playing a crucial role in selecting my government,” he said. He encouraged first-time voters, especially those in big cities, to realize the importance of their vote. "Everyone should feel that way, especially in big cities, where people might think it’s not my job. But it is your job, dude. If you want to be cool, please vote,” he concluded, reinforcing the idea that voting is a civic duty and an essential part of shaping the country's future.
