Deva Will Keep Audience On Edge Says Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for the release of his much-anticipated film Deva, set to hit theaters on February 14, 2025, coinciding with Valentine’s Day. In a recent interview, he shared his insights about the film and the challenges of portraying an intense character.

 

"I guess when you do something intense, or whenever you make a choice in a space that people have liked you in, the responsibility is to make it new and different," Shahid explained. He emphasized his commitment to bringing a fresh perspective to his role while ensuring that it aligns with the film’s narrative. "For me, the attempt is to try and bring a new aspect of my personality without taking away from what the film needs."

 

Deva promises to be a gripping thriller packed with action, featuring Shahid in a very aggressive character that he describes as one that will "keep you on edge." His excitement for the project is palpable, indicating that he’s ready to deliver a performance that fans will not soon forget.

 

Directed by Rosshan Andrrews and penned by the writing duo Bobby–Sanjay, Deva marks their debut in Hindi cinema. The film also stars Pooja Hegde alongside Shahid, adding to the intrigue surrounding the project. Produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films, the film boasts a talented crew behind the scenes, including music by Sachet–Parampara and a score by Jakes Bejoy. Cinematography is handled by Amit Roy, with editing by A. Sreekar Prasad.
