Dia Mirza on Working with Anubhav Sinha: A Deep Appreciation for Precision and Passion

Dia Mirza recently shared her profound admiration for filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, highlighting the unique and impactful experience of collaborating with him. In her candid remarks, Mirza praised Sinha for his exceptional approach to writing and directing, which she believes elevates the craft of acting to a new level.

 

According to Mirza, "When I work with Anubhav Sinha, the writing makes it so possible to just become. The biggest into a character is the lines that it gets to speak and staging of the scenes." This observation underscores the importance of well-crafted dialogue and thoughtfully staged scenes in creating a believable and compelling character.

 

Sinha’s clarity of vision is another aspect Mirza admires. She noted, "Anubhav is always so clear with his ideas, he knows how to approach everything." This clarity allows for a seamless collaboration and ensures that every element of the film aligns with the director’s overall vision.

 

One of the most striking elements of Sinha’s approach, according to Mirza, is the contrast between his casual demeanor and the gravitas of his work. She remarked, "He is so casual about the way he expresses himself when there is so much gravitas and depth to what he does." Dia Mirza will soon be seen in IC 814 – The Kandahar Hijack, helmed by Anubhav Sinha, starring Vijay Verma, Manoj Pahwa, Arvind Swami, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapoor,  Patralekhaa, Dibyendu Bhattacharya and Pooja Gor. It will premiere on Netflix on 29th August.
