Kamal Haasan's Iconic Film 'Vikram' Celebrates 38 Years with Special Tribute

Actor Kamal Haasan’s standout film in Tamil cinema, "Vikram," has reached a remarkable milestone, celebrating 38 years since its release. The original "Vikram" from 1986 set a new standard for spy thrillers in the industry and continues to be a significant influence.

To commemorate this occasion, the production house of Kamal Haasan released a stunning and engaging video on their Instagram account on May 29. The clip features intense action sequences and highlights the powerful villain role played by Sathyaraj. The video serves as a nostalgic tribute to the film's enduring legacy.

Raaj Kamal Films International shared the video on social media, the caption read, “Celebrating 38 years of Vikram- a distinctive espionage thriller that pioneered the genre into Tamil Cinema: entertainment unparalleled. #Ulaganayagan #KamalHaasan #38YearsofVikram #Vikram1986 @ikamalhaasan @ilaiyaraaja @RKFI @turmericmediaTM @magizhmandram”

A special touch to the tribute video is the inclusion of the original "Vikram" track. This iconic music, which was later modified by Anirudh Ravichander for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s 2022 film starring Kamal Haasan, plays at the end of the video, connecting the past with the present and resonating with fans old and new.

Directed by Rajasekhar and written by Kamal Haasan and Sujatha, "Vikram" tells the thrilling story of Arun Kumar Vikram, a Pilot Black Ops Squad Commander. When terror threatens the nation, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) enlists Commander Vikram to identify and stop the mastermind behind the plot. The film's gripping narrative and groundbreaking action sequences have made it a classic in Indian cinema.

As fans celebrate "Vikram," Kamal Haasan is busy with his much-anticipated sequel, "Indian 2," directed by S. Shankar. This film features an ensemble cast including Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Suryah, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Bobby Simha. "Indian 2" is expected to hit theaters on July 12, adding to the excitement surrounding Haasan's illustrious career.

In addition to "Indian 2," Kamal Haasan is also working on Mani Ratnam’s upcoming movie "Thug Life," further showcasing his versatility and dedication to the craft.
