I Have Great Respect For Young Artists Says Javed Akhtar

Renowned poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar is known not only for his profound verses but also for his humility and deep respect for the artistic process. At the recent Mumbai Art Fair, Akhtar shared his unique perspective on inspiration, shedding light on his approach to art and the role of artists in society.

 

During his interacting with media, when asked about sharing some inspirational words for young artists, Javed Akhtar said, “Sharing inspiring word, or giving inspiration, these are very condescending and patronizing things to do, I really don’t like doing it, I have great respect for young people, and I think they are finding their own ways, they will think, what I can’t think, they will see, what I can’t see, a painter is your eyes in a way, they show you what you missed.” 

 

Javed Akhtar was dressed in his signature style Kurta-Pajama, He lit the inaugural lamp. 

 

Actor turned painter Suchitra Krishnamoorthi also showcased her painting on the opening day of Mumbai Art Fair. 

 

When asked about best artwork he has seen, Jacved Akhtar said, “You can’t say best arts, there are different artistes who has different aesthetics and different sensibilities, different understanding, and point of view, but I can tell you, there are quite a few, more than few artistes who are exceptionally good. That is how it is in every field of life, there are many people who work, some are good, and some are really good, and some are learning.”
