Controversy Erupts as Producer Gudur Narayana Calls Former Hyderabad CM KCR a “Razakar Baby”

Gudur Narayana Reddy, the producer of the film "Razakar," has made controversial statements about Hyderabad's former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), calling him a "Razakar baby" and labelling him as the "biggest Razakar (villain) in real life."

 

During a press conference in Mumbai to announce the Hindi and Marathi release of "Razakar," Reddy expressed “We started shooting without declaring anything, because we knew it was a delicate matter, and we didn’t wanted to offend anyone but somehow the info got leaked about the movie, and our horrible and disgusting chief minister KCR, he is also a Razakar baby, he is living Razakar, that is why he has been thrown out of government.”

 

“KCR and his party is worse than Razakar, that is why are dumped. They have given all kind of trouble to us, threatening the technical team, studios, and crew, they took me to the court and delayed the release of the movie, this was supposed to release in September 2023, but now it is April 2024, but I also stood my grounds, and fought evert battle” added Gudur. 

 

Razakar is a film written and directed by Yata Satyanarayana, depicting the genocide committed by the Razakars, a paramilitary group loyal to the Nizam of Hyderabad. The film portrays the atrocities committed by the Razakars, including mass murders and terrorizing the populace, which prompted Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to initiate Operation Polo, leading to Hyderabad's annexation into the Indian Union.

 

Starring Bobby Simha, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Vedhika, Raj Arjun, Makarand Deshpande, Tej Sapru, Indraja, John Vijay, Arav Chowdharry, and Mathew Varghese, "Razakar" is set to release in Hindi and Marathi on April 26, 2024, by Panorama Studios.
