Riding high on the success of Animal, actress Saloni Batra got candid about her role, working with Sandeep Vanga Reddy and her mega line-up of releases.
Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rahsmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri in the lead roles, Animal helmed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy has turned into a smash hit.
Talking about bagging the role and working with noir filmmaker Sandeep Vanga, actress Saloni said, “I was very happy and overwhelmed when I was offered the role, I had to pinch myself, I couldn’t believe it was happening for real. I am finally going places; I am doing a big project.”
“Sandeep Vanga Reddy had a very decisive process, he was very particular about everything, whether it was the look, or character itself, we all had certain ages we played in the film, and there was a look test for every age, almost 3-4 look tests of every age. And we had workshops, reading the script” added Saloni.
Talking about her upcoming projects, Saloni said, “Three big shows will be releasing soon, all different from one another, audiences will see me in three different avatars. One is Gaanth, which is helmed by Kanishak Varma, I am playing a police officer in it. Second show is Khalbali Records, which is directed by Divyanshu Singh, I am playing the CEO of a music record company. Actor Ram Kapoor is playing my father in the show, and I am playing this hoity-toity glamour girl. There is no more show, Bandra Christmas, I am playing a protagonist in this anthology, helmed by Alankrita Srivastava, backed by RSVP movies.”
After Animal and Sam Bahadur clash, two big movies Dunki and Salaar are gearing up for clash. When asked about the same, Saloni said, “I would like to watch both, Dunki and Salaar, but I am the biggest fan of Shah Rukh Khan, so I will be watching Dunki first, and then I will watch Salaar.”
