‘To play Parminder was absolutely liberating for me as an actor’, Kirti Kulhari on ‘Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan’

Kirti Kulhari made her debut in 2010 with the comedy film 'Khichdi: The Movie' and post that she has done many intense roles. The actress is once again returning to her character of Parminder with 'Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan' and she revealed that playing Parminder was absolutely liberating for her as an actor.

 

Kirti Kulhari has given some stellar performances in her career. She is known for performing intense roles. The actress will now be seen as Parminder in upcoming comedy film 'Khichdi : Mission Paanthukistan' . The trailer of the film was launched on Wednesday in Mumbai. Here the actress spoke about playing Parminder's character after a long gap and much more. 

 

Talking about performing Parminder's character after playing such intense roles, she said, "Honestly speaking, I have done so many intense roles that the real value of my character Parminder, I got to know now after so many years. It came as a breath of fresh air. When you do such kind of roles you start taking yourself seriously. I think to break away from that it was necessary for me to do a silly role like Parminder. To play her was absolutely liberating for me as an actor. "

 

It gave me that relief, comic relief. It empowered me and gave me the confidence back that I can perform comedy too. I thoroughly enjoyed playing her, where I had to not put any brains, no preparation, and had to just become silly."

 

Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan' is a comedy drama written and directed by Aatish Kapadia and produced by Vineet Jain and Jamnadas Majethia. The film stars  Supriya Pathak Kapur, Rajeev Mehta, Anang Desai, Vandana Pathak and Jamnadas Majethia. It is the fifth overall installment of the Khichdi franchise, and a direct sequel to the 2010 film Khichdi:The movie. The film is releasing on 17th November, 2023.
