Wish Nitin Desai Had Reached Out For Help Says Aamir Khan

Actor Aamir Khan, who has worked with late art director Nitin Desai on his debut movie, said he wish Nitin had reached out for help rather than doing what he did. 

 

Due to heavy financial obligations, art director Nitin Chandrakant Desai took his life. His funeral took place on Friday at ND Art World Studio Pvt Ltd studio.

 

Actor Aamir Khan, Manoj Joshi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ashutosh Gowariker, Mukesh Rishi, Sonali Kulkarni, along with a host of celebrities visited ND studio to pay their last respects to him and extend condolences to the bereaved family.

 

Expressing his grief and shock, Aamir Khan said, “I had worked with almost from the very beginning of my career, Nitin Desai was the assistant on my debut movie Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander, “This is very shocking news. I am unable to understand how this happened. I am still trying to process it; I can't believe it actually happened.” 

 

“I wish he had not done this and reached out for help instead. But what can we say in such a tragic situation, it is very difficult to understand what has happened. It is very sad. We have lost someone who was very talented" added emotional Aamir. 

 

On Wednesday, Nitin Desai was found dead in his studio in Maharashtra’s Raigad district. According to police Desai’s body was found hanging in his ND Studio in Karjat 

 

Desai has worked as art director for hits like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Jodhaa Akbar, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Devdas, Once Upon A Time in Mumbai, and more. He had won three Filmfare Awards for Best Art Direction and four National Film Awards for Best Art Direction.
