Dhanush Wraps Bangkok Schedule of Idly Kadai, Sets New Release Date

It’s a wrap for Idly Kadai! Wunderbar Films has officially announced that filming for the highly anticipated project is complete, with the final leg wrapped up in the vibrant city of Bangkok, Thailand. Sharing behind-the-scenes pictures from the set, the production house tweeted: “#IdlyKadai Shoot Wrapped at Bangkok, Thailand!! Open from 1st October, 2025 Worldwide.” Fans can now circle the date — the film is all set to open in theatres across the globe on October 1, 2025.

 

Written, directed, and co-produced by Dhanush under his home banner Wunderbar Films, in collaboration with Dawn Pictures, Idly Kadai marks yet another multifaceted turn for the actor-filmmaker. The film features Dhanush and Nithya Menen in the lead, with an impressive ensemble cast that includes Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Prakash Raj, Sathyaraj, Parthiban, P. Samuthirakani, and Rajkiran.

 

Initially slated for an April 2025 release, the film was postponed due to ongoing production schedules — but fans can now rest easy as the countdown officially begins. With music by G.V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Kiran Koushik, and editing by Prasanna GK, Idly Kadai promises to be a flavorful mix of drama, heart, and mass moments — the kind of Dhanush signature fans know and love.
