ApplaToon Takes Off! Applause Entertainment Launches Animation Channel with ‘Kiya & Kayaan’

Applause Entertainment, the studio behind gripping dramas like Scam 1992 and Black Warrant, is setting its sights on a younger audience—and this time, they’re bringing the fun in full animation mode! Say hello to ApplaToon, their brand-new YouTube animation channel dedicated to kids aged 4 to 8 years, packed with colorful stories, vibrant characters, and positive messaging.

The channel launches with its first original animated series, Kiya & Kayaan, premiering 25 April 2025. The series is based on the beloved Amar Chitra Katha Junior stories, making it a beautiful blend of Indian storytelling tradition and modern animation flair. With siblings Kiya and Kayaan at the center of each adventure, the show is designed to educate, entertain, and inspire young minds through tales rooted in Indian values, history, and imagination.

The creative minds behind the project include producers Sameer Nair, Prasoon Garg, and Indrajit Chandra, with Preeti Vyas and Anindo Chatterjee serving as executive producers. The series is directed by Sanjeev Sahoo, with a script penned by Yash Thakur, and conceptualized by the in-house team at Applause.
