“Don’t Be Late!” Akshay Kumar’s Big Warning to Fans Ahead of Kesari Chapter 2 Release

"Don't Be Late!" Akshay Kumar's Big Warning to Fans Ahead of Kesari Chapter 2 Release

If you're the kind of moviegoer who strolls into the theater after the popcorn's in hand and the lights have already dimmed—Akshay Kumar has a message for you: Don’t even think about it.

Speaking at a star-studded special screening of Kesari Chapter 2 in Mumbai, the Bollywood superstar made an impassioned plea to fans (and even the paparazzi!): “When you come to watch this film, I request you with folded hands, don't miss the beginning. The first 10 minutes of this film is the most important thing.” That’s right, no “fashionably late” entrances allowed. Not this time.

Why the urgency? Because Kesari Chapter 2 kicks off with a gut-punch—the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, one of the darkest chapters in India’s colonial history. The film, inspired by the real-life courtroom battle led by lawyer C. Sankaran Nair, takes you straight into the aftermath of the 1919 tragedy, where Nair dared to take on none other than General Dyer and the British Empire in a courtroom showdown that literally shook the Raj.

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Dharma Productions, the film features a stellar ensemble: R. Madhavan, Regina Cassandra, Ananya Panday, Simon Paisley Day, Amit Sial, and Masaba Gupta, to name a few. Based on The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat, the film doesn’t just dramatize history—it confronts it, loud and clear.

So here’s your PSA: Set your alarm, grab your snacks early, and get to your seat before the lights dim. Because missing the first 10 minutes of Kesari Chapter 2? According to Akshay—it’s practically a cinematic crime.
