Prime Video is dialing up the tension with the first look teaser for Ballard, a brand-new detective series set in the underbelly of Los Angeles. Created by Kendall Sherwood and adapted from the beloved Harry Bosch novels by Michael Connelly, the series introduces a fierce new lead: Detective Renée Ballard, played by the ever-formidable Maggie Q.

 

This spin-off from the Bosch universe finds Ballard running the LAPD’s cold-case unit — a barely funded, all-volunteer division tasked with tackling the city's most impossible-to-solve crimes.
