Jaat Scores Big Over the Extended Weekend, Crosses 40 Crore Mark!

Bollywood’s latest mass entertainer Jaat is off to a roaring start at the box office. With an extended opening weekend (Thursday to Sunday), the film has raked in a solid 40.62 crore nett across India. After a relatively modest start at multiplexes, the film picked up major momentum on Sunday, collecting an impressive 14.05 crore — its highest single-day figure — riding high on strong word-of-mouth and the undying love from single-screen audiences.

 

The action-packed drama found its strongest footing in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where the desi action, emotional beats, and high-voltage drama clicked with the audience. Jaat’s raw appeal, coupled with Sunny Deol’s larger-than-life presence, has created a solid connect in the heartland. While urban centers were slow to warm up, mass circuits more than made up for it, turning the film into a weekend winner.

 

The day-wise collection breakdown stands as follows: 9.62 crore on Thursday, 7 crore on Friday, 9.95 crore on Saturday, and 14.05 crore on Sunday. With Monday being a public holiday (Ambedkar Jayanti), the film is expected to continue its strong run before normal weekday trends settle in. Trade analysts are already predicting that Jaat may turn out to be one of 2025’s biggest surprise hits.

 

Directed by Gopichand Malineni in his Hindi directorial debut, Jaat stars Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Regina Cassandra, and Saiyami Kher in key roles. It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory. The film also features an ensemble cast including Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Zarina Wahab. With music by S. Thaman and crisp visuals by cinematographer Rishi Punjabi, Jaat hit cinemas on April 10, 2025 — and has been unstoppable ever since.
