Vaani Kapoor Calls Raid 2 a ‘Paisa Vasool’ Film, Talks About Working with Ajay Devgn

Vaani Kapoor, who stars alongside Ajay Devgn in Raid 2, spoke at the trailer launch about her experience working with the superstar. Kapoor shared her admiration for Devgn's effortless ability to command scenes.

 

She said, "Ajay sir has this rare quality to command scenes without being loud or doing anything extra. It's just sheer aura, intensity, and the gravitas he brings to every screen appearance. It’s grounding and inspiring. It was a fabulous experience."

 

The actress also highlighted that Raid 2 is a "paisa vasool" (value-for-money) film, emphasizing its entertainment factor. "The film is truly worth it," she added, showcasing her excitement about the project.

 

Speaking about her role in the film, Vaani explained, "We share a great equation on screen. You take the character and try to play it in the most genuine way, following the brief of the director and creators. For me, it was more about the experience of being part of a project that allowed me to showcase my talent in different ways. It’s not aligned with what I’ve done so far, so this is something new and refreshing for me."

 

Vaani also appreciated how her collaboration with Devgn and the entire team helped her grow as an actor. "Of course, working with Ajay sir was an amazing experience. Collaborating with everyone involved, there is so much talent that you only learn, observe, and grow. It’s been an incredible journey."

 

Talking about Ajay Devgn’s demeanor on set, she revealed, "Ajay sir was pretty chatty on set. He was very kind and generous. I love the fact that he is so humble and grounded. His humility is something I really admire."

 

Raid 2 is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. It features Ajay Devgn, Vaani Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Saurbh Shukla and is scheduled to release on 1 May, 2025.
