Salman’s Family Drama: When Bollywood Was the Real Villain

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, fresh off the adrenaline rush of his action-packed thriller Sikandar, decided to swap his macho avatar for some heartfelt (and hilarious) family gossip. Turns out, the biggest plot twist in his life wasn’t a dramatic fight scene or a love triangle—it was his parents’ interfaith marriage.

 

Now, you'd think the drama was all about Hindu-Muslim differences, right? Nope. Salman cleared the air faster than a high-speed car chase in one of his films. “Religion wasn’t the issue; it was his profession,” he said, revealing that the real villain in this love story was none other than the film industry itself.

 

Salman elaborated, “It comes from love and concern, it comes from upbringing. When my mom and dad got married, obviously they come from two different religions, and at that time there was no Hindu-Muslim thing. My dad was from the film industry, that was the issue. So my Nanaji had a problem that my dad was from the film industry, not because of anything else.”

 

But wait, the plot thickens! “My mom and dad got married, and they had their own share of fights and arguments, and five years later when Sohail Khan was born, my Nanaji started liking my dad. He admitted that his biggest regret in life is that he wasted five years without knowing my dad, Salim Khan.”

 

And the grand finale? A dramatic showdown worthy of a Bollywood blockbuster. “I remember one time, my mom and dad had an argument, and my mom went to her father’s house. He was like, ‘Now Salim’s house is your house, you must never leave it.’ I don’t know what sort of magic my dad did on my grandfather that he sided with him, not her daughter.”

 

Turns out, love, laughter, and a dash of Bollywood charm can turn even the grumpiest Nanaji into a fan.
