Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda Share Insights on Jaat Identity and Their On-Screen Bond

Sunny Deol recently spoke about the deep connection between actors and farmers, highlighting how both Jaats and Jats share a common identity rooted in hard work, humility, and unwavering dedication. Reflecting on the essence of Jaat culture, he said, "We all are actors, be it Jaat or Jat, we are basically all farmers. And I believe that all farmers across the nation are Jaats. They may be called different names in different places, but the enthusiasm and honesty they possess are remarkable. They work tirelessly, feed people, and never complain about their hardships. When they know someone is in trouble, they do not hesitate; they just jump in. Jaat and Jat are the same, it’s in their DNA to be the way they are."

Sunny also shared his thoughts on working with Randeep Hooda in the film. He fondly recalled how Randeep, playing the role of a villain, was initially uncomfortable with the character. Sunny reassured him by drawing comparisons to Bobby Deol, who also portrayed a villain. He told Randeep, "Look at Bobby Deol, he is not playing Bobby, he is playing a character." Sunny encouraged him to embrace the role fully and enjoy the process. "Get into the skin of the character and enjoy it, don’t overthink it," he advised.

Randeep Hooda, reflecting on his experience working alongside Sunny, expressed how helpful the veteran actor had been during the shoot. He recalled Sunny’s words of wisdom, saying, “Sunny Deol was very helpful. He told me that back in the day, Vinod Khanna also played a villain, so I shouldn’t worry too much. Enjoy the character." Randeep, who was initially puzzled by the concept of Jaat and Jat, also shared his thoughts on the clannism around their region. "Being a Jaat, working with a South Indian director on a South Indian film, and watching Sunny Deol portray a Jaat on-screen was a pleasure," he said. He also praised Sunny’s calm and supportive nature, adding, "He is such a sweetheart, always full of advice, and his soft-spoken presence would always calm you down."
