Rashmika Mandanna Credits Directors and Co-Stars for Her Success During Sikandar Trailer Launch

Riding high on the success of Pushpa, Pushpa 2, Animal, and Chhaava, actress Rashmika Mandanna was in full praise mode during the Sikandar trailer launch in Mumbai. Along with Salman Khan, A.R. Murugadoss, Sajid Nadiadwala, Sathyaraj, Anjini Dhawan, and other members of the cast and crew, Rashmika interacted with the media, discussing her journey in the film industry and the upcoming thriller Sikandar.

 

When asked if making box-office hits was a priority for her, Rashmika was humble in her response. “Making 500 crore is not in our hands. That happens because of the incredible directors and actors I get the opportunity to work with. All the credit goes to them. If I had any power over it, my entire career would have been so different,” she shared candidly. She further emphasized the importance of teamwork: “It’s the amazing vision of the directors, the story writing, the editors, the entire team—it's all a combination of work that leads to success."

 

Rashmika’s excitement was palpable as she spoke about Sikandar, saying, “Today, we are here with Sikandar. You’ve all seen the trailer, and I am really excited for you to watch the film. I hope you like it. I got the opportunity to work with Salman Khan—what could be better than that?”

 

She also expressed her admiration for Sikandar director A.R. Murugadoss, adding, “A.R. Murugadoss is someone I’ve always wanted to work with. I entered the industry eight years ago, but I had been watching his work long before I entered the film industry. It’s an honor to work with him.”

 

Rashmika also fondly recalled her first conversation with producer Sajid Nadiadwala: “I remember when he called me and said, ‘I know we wanted to work with each other, and I have a great script for you,’ and that’s how it all started. It’s truly an honor."

 

Directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar stars Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar. The highly anticipated film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 30, 2025, in both standard and IMAX formats, coinciding with Eid al-Fitr.
