Sreshta Iyer “Looking Forward to Debuting in an Item Number in Tollywood”

Sreshta Iyer, a talented dancer and choreographer, and sister of Cricketer Shreyas Iyer  recently opened up about her experience performing an item number in the film Sarkari Bachcha. Known for captivating audiences with her exceptional dance moves, she spoke about her journey, aspirations, and her love for the world of item numbers.

 

When asked about her decision to take part in Sarkari Bachcha, Sreshta shared: "I thought this is a great opportunity, so why not do it? Initially, I was chosen as a choreographer, but I ended up performing as a dancer. The experience was definitely amazing. Personally, I really enjoy item numbers."

 

Sreshta also expressed her admiration for popular Bollywood actresses known for their memorable item numbers. She said, "Kareena Kapoor’s 'Halkat Jawani' is my favourite. When songs like these play, they instantly remind me of my love for dance. Other actresses like Katrina Kaif, Nora Fatehi, and Malaika Arora are all so talented. They do a fantastic job in these numbers, and it’s because of them that people go to watch the movie."

 

She also mentioned some legendary choreographers she dreams of working with: "There are so many great choreographers. First, I want to work with Bosco sir, as he has done many iconic numbers. Saroj Khan ma'am was legendary, and I always wanted to work with her, but sadly that will never happen. However, I’d love to collaborate with Vaibhavi Merchant and Ganesh Acharya in the future."

 

On her future in the industry, she revealed: "I’m not too keen on acting, but if a good opportunity comes, why not? However, my main goal is to enter the South Indian film industry. I really want to do an item number there, especially in Tollywood."

 

Sreshtha’s passion for dance and her aspirations to make her mark in Tollywood are evident as she continues to make waves in the entertainment industry.
