Vikram Kochhar Talks About the Film ‘Networker’, and The World of MLM Scams

Vikram Kochhar, the talented actor set to star in the upcoming film Networker, recently opened up about the film, his preparation for the role, and his personal journey. He also shed light on the dark side of Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) schemes, a key theme in the movie.

 

Networker is based on the world of MLM companies, some of which have been linked to scams. Companies like Tupperware, Amway, and Herbalife are often associated with MLM, and the film explores how such schemes can exploit individuals. While some MLM businesses operate legitimately, others lure people in with false promises of quick wealth. Vikram's portrayal in the film delves into the complex nature of these schemes.

 

In discussing his preparation for the film, Vikram said, "I watched a lot of videos and met real people who are involved in network marketing. I learned a lot about these companies, the way they work, and the scams they sometimes involve." He continued, "Watching these videos really helped me understand the dynamics of these companies and how they influence people."

 

The actor also spoke about what drew him to the film industry. "It was the script and the story that attracted me initially. A lot of people enter films for the money, but the story behind the script and the emotional depth of the characters really spoke to me," Vikram shared. "There are two types of people—those who want to make money, and those who want to tell stories."

 

He also spoke about his time at the National School of Drama (NSD), a prestigious institution for aspiring actors. "NSD is the place for anyone who truly wants to learn. There are government scholarships, and it provides a professional education in acting. It’s where a true artist is recognized, even though it’s not considered a highly respected profession in society," Vikram stated. "Even today, we have to keep working hard. I still take up secondary roles, but Gutargoo Films saw something in me and offered me Networker. Even Hirani sir saw the potential in me and gave me Dunki. There are still people who appreciate genuine talent."

 

Directed by Vikas Kumar Vishwakarma, Networker promises to bring a fresh perspective on the world of MLM and will no doubt offer a captivating portrayal of the realities behind these controversial schemes.
