First Look of House Mates Unveiled: Darshan Stars in a Fantasy Horror Comedy

The highly anticipated Tamil film House Mates has unveiled its first look, featuring actor Darshan in the lead role. Directed by T. Raja Vel, House Mates is a unique blend of fantasy, horror, and comedy, and it’s set to bring a fresh and entertaining experience to Tamil cinema. The first look poster, released on February 11, features a dramatic split: on one side, we see Darshan alongside a girl, both pushing a wall, while on the other, Kaali Venkat and his family stand in the background. This visual cleverly teases the movie’s premise, setting the tone for the supernatural and humorous twists to come.

 

The film revolves around the happenings in an apartment complex, reflecting the everyday lives and emotions of middle-class families. With a mix of fantasy and horror elements, House Mates promises to be an enjoyable experience for audiences of all ages. Darshan, known for his roles in Kanaa and Thumba, takes on a prominent lead role, supported by an ensemble cast including Kaali Venkat, Arsha Chandini Baiju, Vinodini, Dheena, Abdool Lee, and Master Henrik, all contributing to the narrative.

 

The film is written and directed by T. Raja Vel, who previously co-directed Demonte Colony 2 and worked with filmmaker Ajay Gnanamuthu. Produced by S. Vijaya Prakash under the banner of Playsmith Studios, House Mates also sees director SP Sakthivel from South Studios as a co-producer. With music composed by Rajesh Murugesan, known for his work on Neram and Premam, the film promises a fantastic audio-visual experience.

 

House Mates is set to release in the summer of 2025, and with the exciting combination of horror, fantasy, and family-friendly comedy, it is expected to create a buzz in the Tamil film industry.
