Andhra Pradesh has attracted Rs 4 lakh crore investment: CM Chandrababu

Amaravati, Dec 11 (SocialNews.XYZ) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu claimed on Wednesday that the state has attracted Rs 4 lakh crore investment which will create over four lakh jobs.

He also said his government has mobilised Rs 31,000 crore for the development of the capital city Amaravati.

 

Addressing a meeting of heads of departments and district Collectors here, he announced that the Polavaram project will be completed by 2027.

Listing out the achievements of his government during the last six months, he revealed that pensions are being distributed to over 64 lakh beneficiaries by spending Rs 33,000 crore per annum while 40 lakh cooking gas cylinders have been supplied to poor families under Deepam-2 scheme.

Chandrababu Naidu told the meeting that till now the government has opened 199 Anna canteens which provide subsidised food to the poor. Parent-Teacher meeting organized with the active participation of 1.2 crore people in 43,000 schools was a resounding success, he said.

The Chief Minister also said that over 16,000 vacancies of teachers will be filled soon with Mega DSC (District Selection Committee).

Stating that his government is seriously contemplating to transform Andhra Pradesh into a knowledge society, Chandrababu Naidu hoped that the collaboration between Google and Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) will bring in radical changes in the administration.

Pointing out that seven white papers have been released till now on the prevailing conditions of the state, he said 20 new policies have been adopted.

The Chief Minister observed Land Titling Act was abolished as over 60 per cent of the complaints received from the people were related to land issues.

He said that the Land Grabbing Prohibition Act has been brought in to effectively deal with such cases.

He also claimed that procurement of foodgrains is going on at a fast pace and exuded confidence that all the roads in the state will be repaired by Sankranthi.

The Chief Minister also said that the Swarnandhra Vision-2047 will be unveiled on December 13 and asked the district collectors to work with the goal of 50 per cent growth rate.

He said that every bureaucrat in the state should function as a public servant as 'People First' is the policy of the government. He gave the slogan 'healthy-wealthy-happy'.

Chairing a meeting at the State Secretariat of the heads of all the departments and the district collectors here, the Chief Minister felt that they should view public issues from a human angle.

The Chief Minister made it clear to them that their priorities should be to know the people's problems through public opinion and resolve them on priority basis.

He alleged that the previous government had not only left a huge debt burden amounting to over Rs 10 lakh crore but also utilised the funds much in advance which were due for the coming two years.

"We now saved the state from the position where it was unable to pay the salaries to the government employees and are marching towards welfare and development," he said.

Saying that the mafia has spread its wings to land grabbing, liquor, looting sand, ganja cultivation, smuggling of drugs and red sanders along with ration rice, the Chief Minister said that now the responsibility of eradicating these lies on the shoulders of the district Collectors.

All the Cabinet Ministers along with the Chief Secretary were present at the meeting.
