His swag, intensity, and presence make Pushpa Raj an unforgettable character, and the film belongs entirely to him.
Fahadh Faasil, who had a riveting role in the first part, is sadly reduced to a weak characterization in this sequel. His performance, despite his evident talent, fails to leave a strong impact. It’s surprising to see such a stellar actor in such a lackluster role, which feels inconsistent and underdeveloped.
Rashmika Mandanna, as Srivalli, and Sreeleela, in her special appearance, provide solid support, but they are overshadowed by the male leads. While their performances are commendable, neither character is given enough screen time to truly shine.
Music and Cinematography: The music, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, fits perfectly within the mass narrative, with songs that are both visually appealing and catchy. The film’s excessive length, especially in the final act, drags down its overall impact. The unnecessary extension, particularly in setting up Pushpa 3, takes away from the film’s emotional resonance, leaving the audience wanting more in terms of story closure.
Moreover, the film’s over-the-top climax, while thrilling for some, may feel excessive and polarizing for others. It seems like Sukumar went all-in on the mass appeal, but the result is a climax that doesn’t feel as earned as the buildup deserves.
