During a promotional event held in Mumbai, Akshay was joined by co-stars Ashnoor Kaur and Adil Khan, who play pivotal roles in the film. Speaking about the decision to release Kisko Tha Pata directly on television, Akshay expressed his belief that television remains one of the most accessible and far-reaching platforms for storytelling. "This film is for the audience that has been ignored by mainstream cinema. Today, we see large-scale action films being made, but a simple, innocent love story—a desi, rooted narrative—hasn’t been seen in a long time," he said, noting that such films were once regularly produced by Rajshri Productions but are now rare in today’s cinematic landscape.
He further emphasized that many small-scale films with powerful stories often don’t receive the promotion they deserve and risk going unnoticed in the shadows of big-budget films. Akshay believes that the decision to release Kisko Tha Pata on television ensures the film will reach the widest possible audience, particularly those in traditional, family-oriented households. "Television is incredibly powerful; it reaches every household, and films like ours deserve to be seen by everyone," he said, sharing his excitement about working on a project with such a heartfelt script, a talented director, and a great ensemble cast.
Kisko Tha Pata is not just a film but a celebration of simple, desi narratives that resonate deeply with viewers who appreciate grounded storytelling. Akshay, who has worked on several large-scale projects in the past, confessed that this film's script drew him in with its warmth and relatability. "I love working on larger-scale projects as well, but I was really drawn to this film because of the script, the director, and the cast. The way it’s being presented on TV will resonate with the right audience," he added.
As the film gears up for its premiere on 25th December, Akshay is hopeful that Kisko Tha Pata will strike a chord with audiences who appreciate simpler, more intimate stories—ones that feel more grounded and closer to reality. With the power of television, Akshay and the team are confident that this film will not only reach but also touch the hearts of viewers across the country.
