From the archives: Susan Smith’s 1994 arrest and conviction in murders of her 2 sons (Video)

On Nov. 3, 1994, Susan Smith was arrested for the murders of her two sons days after she claimed a carjacker took them. The South Carolina woman later confessed to the killings and her car was found in a lake with her son's bodies strapped in their car seats. Smith was convicted and sentenced in 1995 to life in prison with the possibility of parole in 30 years. A parole board unanimously denied her release on Nov. 20, 2024.
