Tanushree Dutta Responds to Bigg Boss 18 Offer: “I Don’t Need Controversies or TRPs”

Tanushree Dutta, the actress who became a key figure in India’s movement, has firmly rejected the idea of participating in Bigg Boss 18, hosted by Salman Khan. In a candid response, Tanushree made it clear that the reality show was not in line with her personality and values, saying she has no interest in engaging in the drama or controversy often associated with the show.

When asked about the possibility of joining Bigg Boss, she replied, “I will never do a reality show like that, Bigg Boss, it’s not my personality, I don’t need controversies, neither do I need any TRPs. I don’t think I really need anything.” Tanushree went on to elaborate that her focus is on spiritual growth and self-awareness, emphasizing that her lifestyle, including her practices of yoga, meditation, and spiritual living, doesn’t align with the type of environment that Bigg Boss represents.

She added, “I don’t think I want to be on TV, especially in a space where anyone can easily insult me, can say any damn thing right in my face. What’s the point of connecting with yoga, meditation and spiritual living, which I have been doing for years, if I am to enter such a toxic space?”

Tanushree further expressed her disdain for the chaos that Bigg Boss is known for, saying, "When you easily see that it’s muddy water, why the hell do you want to jump in it and then get dirty in muck, and later cry that every pig is torturing me? Bigg Boss is known for this sort of stuff, I don’t want to go there." She concluded by adding, "With due respect to everybody, well, at least to 90% of people there right now, I am not interested."

Tanushree Dutta made a significant mark in Bollywood in the 2000s with films like Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Bhagam Bhag, and Dhol. However, she stepped back from the limelight after 2010. In 2018, she made headlines again when she accused actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of the 2009 film Horn 'Ok' Pleassss. Her brave revelation sparked the movement in India, giving a platform to many others who came forward with their own stories of harassment.
