Audience Won’t Abandon Theatres, Film Must Have Quality Says Aneez Bazmee

As anticipation builds for the release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, director Anees Bazmee is confident that quality films will draw audiences back to theaters, as audience won’t stop if the film has quality.

Bazmee reflected on the overwhelming love audiences showed for the film’s second installment, especially during a time when many filmmakers opted for OTT releases. “During the pandemic, people were struggling, and films were flopping left and right, leading many to turn to OTT platforms. However, when Bhushan ji and Murad bhai saw part 2 of this franchise, they decided to hold back the release of this film. Making financial decisions is not easy,” he noted.

Bazmee emphasized the unparalleled magic of the big screen, stating, “They chose to wait, resisting the urge to release on OTT, despite fears of poor box office performance, because they believed they had created something beautiful. When the film was finally released, it received immense love, sparking renewed hope. I believe audiences won’t abandon theaters; if quality films are made, they will surely come back to enjoy the experience.”

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 features a stellar cast, including Kartik Aaryan alongside Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri. The supporting cast is equally impressive, featuring Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar, and many more.
