Action Is Off The Charts In Citadel Says Varun Dhawan

In a thrilling promotional event for his upcoming series Citadel: Honey Bunny, Varun Dhawan made a dramatic entrance at the iconic Gaiety Galaxy Cinema in Mumbai. Known for his charismatic presence, Varun took the promotion to new heights—literally—by climbing onto the roof of the cinema hall to interact with the media from above, creating an unforgettable spectacle for fans and onlookers.

Varun’s rooftop engagement not only showcased his adventurous spirit but also set the tone for the action-packed nature of Citadel: Honey Bunny. During the media interaction, he discussed the intense stunts featured in the series, describing a particularly jaw-dropping bike stunt. “There’s this bike stunt where the bike takes a jump 60 feet in the sky,” Varun explained. He went on to share that while the initial plan was for him to perform the leap, safety concerns led to a change in approach.

“The action is off the charts; we did one take for 11 minutes, and one of the stunts involves Samantha [Ruth Prabhu]. I think people will be genuinely surprised by what they see,” he added, emphasizing the series' high-octane thrills.

Citadel: Honey Bunny is a highly anticipated spy action series and serves as a prequel to the American television series Citadel. Written by Sita R Menon and the acclaimed duo Raj & DK, the series is set to make waves on Amazon Prime Video. The show stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles, alongside a talented supporting cast that includes Kay Kay Menon, Simran Bagga, and Emma Canning.

The series promises to deliver not just adrenaline-pumping action but also a gripping narrative that connects with audiences on multiple levels. Scheduled for release on November 7, 2024, fans are eagerly awaiting what the talented cast and crew have in store.
