Dharma Productions Celebrates Nine Years of Shaandaar

Filmmaker Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is commemorating nine years of the romantic comedy Shaandaar, which features Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Pankaj Kapur in lead roles. The official X handle of Dharma Productions celebrated the occasion by sharing a series of vibrant posters from the film, stating, “9 years of shaandaar moments and grander love! #9YearsOfShaandaar #Shaandaar #KaranJohar.”

Directed by Vikas Bahl, Shaandaar was released on October 22, 2015, and it also featured Sanjay Kapoor in a supporting role. Despite receiving mixed reviews upon its release, the film remains memorable for its unique blend of romance and humor, and for being Shahid Kapoor's first on-screen collaboration with his father, Pankaj Kapur, and sister, Sanah Kapur, who played Alia's character's father and sister, respectively.

On the work front, Shahid Kapoor is currently wrapping up Deva, a film directed by Rosshan Andrrews and written by the duo Bobby–Sanjay, marking their debut in Hindi cinema. Produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films, Deva also stars Pooja Hegde.

Alia Bhatt, meanwhile, is busy with her upcoming project Alpha, which features Sharvari Wagh. This film is particularly notable as it is the first female-led entry in the YRF Spy Universe, directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Aditya Chopra.
