Tanuj, who recently celebrated the arrival of his baby girl, recounted his experience while shooting in Tbilisi, Georgia. During his downtime, he learned about Golden Goose, a trendy sneaker brand famously associated with SRK. Excited at the prospect of snagging a pair, he tracked down a store, even though it was quite a trek from his filming location.
“I had no idea one could find it in this small town,” Tanuj shared, his enthusiasm palpable. However, his eagerness soon turned into a comedic misadventure when the car he was in ran out of fuel midway through the drive. Stranded in the middle of nowhere, Tanuj watched anxiously as the driver dashed off to fetch petrol, worrying about both his sneaker hunt and the tight schedule of the shoot.
After what felt like an eternity, the driver returned, and they finally reached the store—only to discover that it predominantly catered to women. “Just my luck,” Tanuj chuckled, but the storekeeper informed him that there were three pairs available for men. Faced with the dilemma of returning empty-handed or buying shoes in a smaller size, Tanuj opted for the latter, driven by his love for sneakers.
Reflecting on the experience, he remarked, “Only people close to me know about my deep love for sneakers. I purchase them from every corner of the world and showcase them like prized trophies.” He humorously added, “This quest for SRK’s favorite brand led me to buy shoes one size smaller. It was either that or nothing at all!”
Tanuj’s commitment to his sneaker obsession didn't stop there. “I had to flaunt the babies, so I wore them the next day,” he recounted, laughter spilling from him. “I cut my toenails and squeezed my feet into them. My walk was indeed a sight to behold—ha ha! But such is my love for sneakers.”
