Metrograph Pictures Releases Trailer for The Black Sea

Metrograph Pictures has unveiled the captivating trailer for The Black Sea, a film co-directed by Derrick B. Harden and Crystal Moselle. The film stars Harden alongside Irmena Chichikova, Samuel Finzi, and Stoyo Mirkov.

The Black Sea follows Khalid (played by Harden), a charismatic dreamer from Brooklyn who finds himself stranded in a small Bulgarian town along the Black Sea after a money-making opportunity takes an unexpected turn. As the only Black person in the town, Khalid quickly becomes the focal point of attention. Armed with his New York City street smarts and a passion for music, he navigates the challenges of this unfamiliar environment.

Throughout his journey to find a way back home, Khalid discovers unexpected connections that lead to a transformative experience. The film beautifully weaves themes of love, community, and self-discovery, showcasing how dreams can manifest in the most surprising ways.

Having premiered at the 2024 SXSW Film Festival earlier this year, The Black Sea is set to open in select US theaters on November 22, 2024. The trailer hints at a poignant and uplifting narrative, blending humor and heart in Khalid's quest for belonging.
