The Line follows Tom, portrayed by Alex Wolff, a scholarship student from a working-class background who is eager to ascend the social ladder. Lured by the prestigious KNA fraternity’s promises of elite status and valuable connections, Tom sees this as his ticket to a brighter future. However, his aspirations quickly become complicated when he starts a romance with Annabelle (Halle Bailey), a classmate outside of his usual social circle.
As Tom gets deeper into the fraternity’s world, he encounters the manipulative schemes of the fraternity president, played by Lewis Pullman. The film delves into the dangerous dynamics of fraternity life, especially during the hazing of new members, revealing a high-stakes game of ambition and loyalty that threatens to unravel Tom's plans and personal life.
The screenplay for The Line is crafted by Ethan Berger and Alex Russek, based on a story by Zack Purdo. Berger’s direction aims to create a taut narrative filled with suspense and intrigue, exploring the complexities of social climbing and the perils of fraternities.
The Line is slated for release on October 18th, 2024.
