Sonu Nigam hosted an epic birthday bash in Mumbai today. The celebration was graced by a plethora of music industry stalwarts, making it a veritable who’s who of Indian music. Among the distinguished guests were: Annu Malik, Daboo Malik, Sudesh Bhosle, Javed Akhtar, Ramesh Taurani, Papon, Talat Aziz. Salim Merchant, Shankar Mahadevan and more.
Talking about his birthday and clocking a significant milestone in his life, Sonu Nigam said, “I have had a diverse life, I am not a one-track mind, I am not a chronic singer, I read a lot, I used to play a lot, I am pretty good with my feet, I can nibble with my feet, I am very active, I have had a vibrant life so far, I have lived all sort of emotions, and experienced it.”
“There were sad moments as well, like losing my mother, it was a huge loss for me, talking about happy moment, my son being born, and now watching him grow. Lata Mangeshkar Ji wishing me on my birthday, it also a happy moment for me, I have had a beautiful life” added Sonu Nigam.
Sonu Nigam also screened his documentary titled Strings of Fate for media and friends, which chronicles his ordeal with losing his voice during a concert in Dubai and putting his faith and patience to test, to get his vocal-chords working again.
