Speak No Evil Trailer Is Out

Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions have unveiled the second official trailer for "Speak No Evil," an upcoming psychological thriller directed by James Watkins. Set against the backdrop of an idyllic English country estate, the film promises to delve deep into the complexities of human psychology and interpersonal dynamics.

 

The storyline unfolds as two families, originally strangers but bonded by a chance encounter on holiday, come together for what appears to be a picturesque weekend getaway. Mackenzie Davis and Scoot McNairy lead the cast as the American family, alongside Alix West Lefler, James McAvoy, Aisling Franciosi, and Dan Hough portraying the British hosts who extend the invitation.

 

What begins as a dream vacation soon takes a chilling turn when the charismatic but enigmatic host, Paddy (played by James McAvoy), starts to exert a strange and unsettling influence over the gathering. As tensions mount and the veneer of hospitality cracks, the tranquil estate transforms into a battleground of psychological manipulation and dark secrets.

 

Based on the screenplay from the acclaimed 2022 Danish horror "Gæsterne" by Christian Tafdrup and Mads Tafdrup, "Speak No Evil" promises to maintain the suspense and eerie atmosphere that captivated audiences of the original. Director James Watkins, known for his work on atmospheric thrillers, is poised to deliver a gripping narrative that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.
