Mirzapur Is Like A Phenomenon Says Abhishek Banerjee

Actor and casting director Abhishek Banerjee who played the role of compounder in Mirzapur, said the series is like a phenomenon, and it doesn’t matter whether the character is alive or dead, people will remember it. 

 

Talking about multi-starrer hit series entering its third season, Abhishek said, “Mirzapur is like a phenomenon, now it has reached a point where whether the character is alive or dead, audience remembers the character. Even today people ask me, whether the compounder is coming back or not? Munna Bhaiya is coming back or not? And hopefully one day, we all will comeback.” 

 

When asked about if there is reboot in the making where Munna and Compounder will be seen, Abhishek said, “I don’t know when that is going to happen, right now the makers are killing everyone on the show, let’s see when they will start resurrecting character. “ 

 

Apart from known his stellar performances, Abhishek is also a prolific casting director, when asked about balancing both, he added, “It feels great that I’ve turned into a tool for their dream coming true, I think that is more important, there good wishes are propelling my career further, because I want to work for them also, I’ve fought for so many actors that now I think universe should also fight for me. I am an actor myself, so I know what exactly actor’s struggle is, what sort of challenges we face every day, rejection is everyday process for us, so as a casting director it feels good to know whether I get the part or not, but someone else is getting it.”  

 

Abhishek also shared a sneak-peek into his upcoming projects, he said, “I am doing Stree 2, Vedaa, Section 84, Rana Naidu 2 and I just starting shooting for a new movie Hisaab”.
