“Duchess”: A Gritty Tale of Vengeance and Survival

Saban Films has unveiled the official trailer for "Duchess," a British action thriller helmed by genre filmmaker Neil Marshall.

The film centers around Scarlett, a tough and resourceful petty criminal who finds herself thrust into the treacherous world of diamond smuggling. After a deal goes disastrously wrong, Scarlett is left for dead, fueling her determination to seek vengeance against those who betrayed her. Transforming into an anti-heroine of formidable grit, she embarks on a relentless quest for justice, navigating a murky underworld where survival demands more than just strength—it demands cunning and ruthlessness.

Portraying Scarlett is Charlotte Kirk, who not only stars in the film but also contributes as a producer and co-writer alongside Marshall. This collaboration marks their continued partnership following their work on "The Reckoning" and "The Lair," further showcasing their synergy in bringing compelling narratives to life.

Joining Kirk in the cast are Philip Winchester, Colm Meaney, Stephanie Beacham, Sean Pertwee, and Hoji Fortuna, each bringing depth to their respective roles in this high-stakes thriller.

Produced by Emily Corcoran and Kristyna Sellnerova for Cork Films, "Duchess" is set to premiere on August 9th, 2024!
