Ram Gopal Varma And Manoj Bajpayee Celebrates 26 Years of Satya

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma and actor Manoj Bajpayee recently marked a significant milestone in Indian cinema as they celebrated 26 years since the release of "Satya," a film that not only became a box-office hit but also left an indelible mark on the genre of gangster films in Bollywood.

 

Produced and directed by Ram Gopal Varma, "Satya" is the first instalment of his Gangster trilogy, focusing on organized crime in Mumbai. The film, written by Saurabh Shukla and Anurag Kashyap, stars J. D. Chakravarthy in the titular role of Satya, alongside Urmila Matondkar, Manoj Bajpayee as Bhiku Mhatre, Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Shrivastava, and Paresh Rawal.

The storyline revolves around Satya, an immigrant to Mumbai in search of employment, who becomes embroiled in the city's underworld after befriending the charismatic and volatile Bhiku Mhatre, portrayed brilliantly by Manoj Bajpayee.
