Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, "Kakuda" spins a tale centered around Sunny (played by Saqib Saleem), a simple man with limited education who falls in love with Indira (portrayed by Sonakshi Sinha). Their romance leads them to marry and settle in the village of Ratodi. However, their blissful beginning takes a chilling turn when they encounter the malevolent spirit known as 'Kakuda.'
Legend has it that Kakuda appears if the man of the house fails to open a specific door at 7:15 pm on their wedding night. Failing to do so results in a cursed fate—a hump that grows until it leads to their demise on the thirteenth day. As Sunny's life hangs in the balance due to this curse, Indira seeks the aid of Victor (played by Riteish Deshmukh), an eccentric ghost hunter.
Together, they embark on a bizarre and comedic journey to unravel the mystery of Kakuda. Along the way, they uncover startling truths about the ghost's identity, its motivations, and the haunting curse that has plagued the village for decades.
