Manisha Koirala Advocates Women's Health: Prioritizing Mind, Body, and Spirit

Manisha Koirala, a celebrated actress and cancer survivor, recently emphasized the crucial elements of women’s health during an interaction with the media at the launch of a Society magazine cover featuring her. Known for her resilience and advocacy, Manisha spoke passionately about the need for women to prioritize their own health amidst their caregiving roles.

Reflecting on her personal journey and observations, Manisha highlighted how women often excel in caregiving roles for their families but urged them to prioritize their own health and wellbeing. She said, “I have seen it in my family, I have seen it around while growing up, women are excellent care givers, be it a mother or a wife, they looked after everyone. Anytime someone falls sick, it’s the women who look after the sick, but I want to urge women, all women, that first you all need to focus on your own health, your own wellbeing, be responsible towards your health, and take ownership of your health.”

“And yes, you must look after the people that you love, but don’t forget yourself in the bargain. Priorities your health, good health is everything. Body, Mind, Spirit, because they are interconnect and intertwined and dependable on each other, your mood will reflect on your body as well” added Manisha.

Manisha Koirala recently made her comeback with Heeramandi, helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The series chronicled the lives of Tawaifs in the red-light district of Heera Mandi in Lahore during the Indian independence movement against the British Raj.

It also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal Mehta and Taha Shah Badussha. After the success of first season, Netflix has renewed the second season.
