The Penguin: Gotham’s Notorious Gangster Rises in Max’s New Series

Max has unveiled the second teaser trailer for its highly anticipated spin-off series, "The Penguin," set to premiere in September 2024. This new series delves into the transformation of Oswald "Oz" Cobblepot, better known as The Penguin, following the events of "The Batman" movie released in 2022.

 

Starring an ensemble cast including Colin Farrell, Cristin Milioti, Clancy Brown, and many others, "The Penguin" explores Gotham City's underworld in the aftermath of Cobblepot's emergence. Set just one week after the events of "The Batman," the series promises to unravel the complex journey of a disfigured outsider ascending to become a notorious figure in Gotham's criminal hierarchy.

 

Created by Lauren LeFranc and based on the iconic Penguin character from DC Comics, originally created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, the series is helmed by director Craig Zobel.
