Kalki 2898AD, An Experience I Will Never Forget Says Amitabh Bachchan

Thespian Amitabh Bachchan, who will be seen playing the role of Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898AD, said being a part of a futuristic science fiction action film is an experience he will never forget. 

 

Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan along with Rana Daggubati grace the 'Kalki 2898 AD' pre-release event in Mumbai on Wednesday. 

 

When asked about playing the role of Ashwatthama in futuristic sci-fi film, Amitabh Bachchan said, “When Nag Ashwin came to me and explained the idea, for a long time after he left, I was thinking, what the hell Nag has been drinking, to think of something like this was something outrageous, and some of the visuals you have seen now, it is just unbelievable to someone just conceive a project which is so futuristic and so possible. 

 

And during the making of the film we realized, no matter what Nag thought of he actually got all the material, all the effects, every kind of visual of the vision he had, and that has really been an amazing experience. For me to just be a part of it, has been an experience I will never forget” added Big B. 

 

Written and directed by Nag Ashwin, inspired by Hindu scriptures, the film is set in a post-apocalyptic world, in the year 2898 AD. The film features Prabhas in the lead role with an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and Brahmanandam in prominent roles.

 

Produced by C. Aswani Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies, the film is slated for 27thJune 2024 release.
