Farhan Akhtar, the acclaimed filmmaker behind the iconic movie 'Lakshya,' commemorates two decades of its release by announcing a special re-release in cinemas starting from June 21, 2024. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, Amitabh Bachchan, and Boman Irani, 'Lakshya' is not just a film but a journey that continues to inspire and resonate with audiences.

Directed by Farhan Akhtar and written by Javed Akhtar, 'Lakshya' is based on a story by Farhan's father, Javed Akhtar, centered around the 1999 Kargil War. The film chronicles the transformation of Karan Shergill, played by Hrithik Roshan, from a directionless young man to a valiant soldier who finds his purpose on the battlefield. Armed with a Sterling Mark IV submachine gun, AK47, and INSAS assault rifle, Karan emerges as a heroic leader amidst the turmoil of war.
