Prayers across the Middle East on the first day of Eid al Adha marred by conflict (Video)

Worshippers in countries across the Middle East had their Eid al-Adha celebrations overshadowed by deadly violence in the West Bank and the devastating war in the Gaza Strip.

Muslims in those locations, as well as in other parts of the world, were observing the four-day religious event on Sunday, which is also known as the Feast of the Sacrifice.

It commemorates the Prophet Ibrahims willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismail, as recounted in the Quran.
