Karan Johar Extols Marathi Cinema at Usha Kakade Productions Launch

Filmmaker Karan Johar, known for his illustrious career in Bollywood, recently added his touch of stardom to the launch event of Usha Kakade Productions' debut film, "Vicky – Full of Love." Alongside the celebrated designer Manish Malhotra, Johar graced the occasion with his presence, expressing his excitement and support for the burgeoning Marathi film industry.

The event, marked by a sense of anticipation and celebration, saw Johar extend his heartfelt congratulations to Usha Kakade, the visionary behind the production house. He said, “This is an auspicious moment, and I would like to congratulate Usha ji, my best wishes on the launch of Usha Kakade Productions, and I think, if the logo reveal of someone is this dramatic, you can easily make out the kind of powerful films they will be making.”

“Usha ji has been a dear friend, a big friend of community, she has contributed a lot through her philanthropy, not only to film industry but so much around her, supporting health, children and education, she really has emerged victorious. I am huge fan of Marathi movies,  and I am so happy and privileged, that I am standing here on this stage to launch a powerful production house” added Karan.

The spotlight of the evening was undoubtedly on "Vicky – Full of Love," the maiden offering from Usha Kakade Productions. Penned and directed by Tejpal Jayant Wagh, the romantic drama promises to enthrall audiences with its heartfelt narrative and compelling performances. Starring Sumedh and Heymal under the banner of UKP, the film holds the potential to leave an indelible mark on the Marathi film industry and beyond.
