Akshay Oberoi underscores the increasing prominence of writers as showrunners in shaping the content landscape, while promoting his new show Illegal Season 3.
Talking about writers and their importance, Akshay Oberoi said, “Ever since the OTT came into play, the showrunner of any show is usually a writer, so the things are changing, there is a change for good.”
Illegal Season 3, also stars Neha Sharma, Piyush Mishra, Satyadeep Mishra, Kubbra Sait, Asheema Vardaan, Ira Dubey, Parul Gulati, Achint Kaur, Zayn Marie Khan, Neil Bhoopalam and more.
Turning to his own experience in the third season of "Illegal," Oberoi offers insights into the growth and development of his character. He added, “My character, earlier he was easily manipulated by his father, he didn’t understand the ways of the world, but in this third season, he has matured a little bit, he is bit more in control of circumstances, and I think my real-life and reel-life is connected this time, now I think I have started to understand this industry better. I was a little naïve and innocent earlier, I understood only acting, and I didn’t get the other elements of the process, now I understand why this is called an industry, it is business, I think I have a better understanding of industry now.”
