Neil sheds some light on the inherent struggles and challenges writers face despite being the true content creators, while promoting his new show Illegal Season 3.
When asked writers are often overlooked and doesn’t get their due credit, Neil said, “Unfortunately it is true, writers are not given credit, I don’t know why, from the beginning of the time and all across the world, writers had a bigger struggle than just actors, Every department has struggles, but writers struggle is so weird, because they are the true hero makers and content creators, because they are one who plants the seed, and we are the one benefitting from them, the fruit of it.”
Neil Bhooplam also highlighted the power of OTT by citing the example of Manoj Bajpayee. He said, “Mr Manoj Bajpayee can start his own channel, called MB 24/7, he can take all the content that he has done on films, OTT and actually can run a 24/7 channel, that is the advantage of OTT right now, it is joke, but you understand the power of OTT”
