Rape And Death Threats Against Film “Hamare Baarah” Cast and Crew, Team Files A Complaint

The entertainment industry, often regarded as a realm of glitz and glamour, has recently been marred by a troubling incident surrounding the upcoming film "Hamare Baarah." Cast and crew members, including renowned actors such as Annu Kapoor and Manoj Joshi, have found themselves at the receiving end of chilling threats, sparking widespread concern and condemnation.

 

In a shocking turn of events, producers and artists associated with "Hamare Baarah" were compelled to file a complaint at the Versova Police Station in Mumbai after being subjected to a barrage of death threats, rape threats, and harassment from unidentified individuals. 

 

Actor Rahul Bagga, a part of the film's ensemble, shed light on the severity of the situation, said, “I am getting life threats, these girls in the movie are getting rape threats, stuff like your movie will never release, I even got a video, where someone is seen chopping the head of my director with the use of AI.”   

 

“Entire female ensemble of the movie is getting lewd messages, abuses and threats to do unimaginable. Not just the female ensemble, people are sending abusive messages to child artists in movie. Our movie is slated for 7th June 2024 release, and ever since we started promotions, we have started getting threat calls, messages and what not from random people and numbers.”  

 

Directed by Kamal Chandra, "Hamare Baarah" boasts a stellar lineup of talent, featuring Annu Kapoor, Ashwini Kaleskar, Manoj Joshi, Parth Samthaan, Paritosh Tripathi, Rahul Bagga, Abhimanyu Singh, and more. Despite the alarming threats and intimidation tactics, the team remains steadfast in their resolve to bring the film to audiences worldwide on June 7th 2024.
