RajKummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor Perform Ganga Aarti in Varanasi During Promotions of ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’

In a heartfelt gesture ahead of the release of their upcoming film Mr and Mrs Mahi, actors RajKummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor performed the Ganga Aarti at the renowned Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi. The actors sought blessings for their film, which is set to hit theaters on May 31, 2024.

 

During their visit to Varanasi, RajKummar and Janhvi participated in the sacred ritual of Ganga Aarti, a spiritual ceremony dedicated to the River Ganges, which is believed to cleanse and purify the soul. The event not only served as a promotional activity but also demonstrated the actors' respect for the cultural and spiritual heritage of India.

 

The official handle of Dharma Productions shared a video capturing the essence of this divine moment. Mr and Mrs Mahi is directed by Sharan Sharma, who gained recognition for his directorial debut with Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. This film marks the second collaboration between Janhvi Kapoor and Sharan Sharma, and also the second collaboration between Janhvi and RajKummar Rao, who previously shared the screen in Roohi. The chemistry between the two leads and the proven directorial skills of Sharma have raised expectations for the film.
