Home Grown Indian Super Hero Content Is Important Says Farah Khan

Director and choreographer Farah Khan, who launched the trailer of Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan live action movie, said that it is important to make home-grown Indian superhero movies otherwise kids would keep watching Hollywood movies.

Farah Khan was interacting with the media during the trailer launch of Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan, helmed by Rajiv Chilaka, written by Shridisha Dilip and Niraj Vikram.

Talking about the first ever live-action Chhota Bheem movie, Farah Khan said, “It is important to make Home grown Indian superhero content, otherwise we’re just our kids to watch English films, such as avengers, Harry Potter or whatever is releasing.”

“There aren’t many Indian superheroes, there are only a handful that ever existed which we can count on our fingers. This one is the first ever live action Chhota Bheem, which these people have done, I think it is very commendable because our budgets are not like foreign films, I think we have a lot of masala in the movie. I think the kids are going to enjoy it” added Farah.

The film stars Anupam Kher, Makrand Deshpande, Navneet Kaur Dhillon, Sanjay Bishnoi, Surbhi Tiwari, Yagya Bhasin, Swarna Pandey, Aashriya Mishra, Kabir Sajid Shaikh, Sumit Keshri, Advik Jaiswal, Daivik Dawar, Divyam Dawar and more.

When asked about movie featuring child-actors, Farah Khan praised the little ones and said, “The kids who have worked in the movie are superb. Watching them perform action, dancing and everything else is amazing, I think I need to beat up my kids after going home. It’s a joke don’t take it seriously”

The film is slated for 31st May 2024 release.
